Developing industries is indispensable to alleviate poverty from the nation is the opinion of some people. While others believe that manufacturing units are the catalyst for ecological issues and hence, should not be developed. In my opinion, owing to their pivotal role in generating employment, industries need to be established with proper compliance towards norms setup by the government.
On one hand, industries assist in curbing poverty by providing employment to the needy ones. This is because when one industrial unit establishes, it becomes a source of employment for a number of other people. These two forces, namely poverty and employment, work in opposite directions, which means when one grows, another declines or vice versa.
On the other hand, manufacturing tend to jeopardize environment through their reckless actions. It is not uncommon to witness industries generating a plethora of fumes during production process, along with dumping of scrap materials in water bodies. These activities contribute chiefly towards air as well as water pollution, two major threats for the vicinity of surroundings.
From my perspective, in order to cope up with increasing numbers of poor people, industrial growth is inevitable. However, the downsides related to environmental concerns could be minimized with the assistance of the government. If officials offer solutions in terms of wastage disposal techniques and low smoke emitting technologies, the views of the opponents might be changed. The government must take stringent actions to ensure obedience on the part of business concerns.
In conclusion, some people perceive the development of industries as the effective solution to mitigate the level of poverty; however, others hold the opinion that there should be fewer establishments as they lead to ecological problems. I have a strong belief that industries need to be developed on a large scale but with some precautionary measures.
