It's definitely very important for people to stay in contact with their friends that they made in school because these friends represent the memories they made when they were young. If they lost these memories and these friends, they would lose a part of their past. I'm one of the people who believes that even if life takes us in different directions, we have to care about each other, call each other from time to time, and make sure we're all doing well. When I left my old school, I always checked on my friends, made sure they were doing okay, and hung out with them from time to time to maintain our relationships.
