The chart above illustrates four different types of musical instruments were studied by students in 2005, 2010 and 2015.
Overall, student’s interest in musical instrument grew rapidly each five years with violin as exceptional. By 2005 to 2015, guitar and piano were the most favorite choices among students. While drum and violin were the least popular.
In 2005, around 10% of students played guitar and piano, only 5% learning drum and violin was around 8%. The percentage of guitar and piano doubled nearly 10% as student instrument’s choice, with 20% and 18% in 2010. In the same year, the amount of schoolchildren learning drum and violin remained stagnant at 5% and 7%.
By 2015, the number of students playing guitar and piano as their musical instrument climbed rapidly by about 8% than in 2010. The amount of drum as students instrument’s choice grew slightly to 8%, compared to violin which fluctuated at only 6%.
