Task 1
The bar chart illustrates the average hours in a week spent on four household tasks by men and women in a country in 2020.
Overall, the women spent most time on the chores except for gardening which is more traditionally done by men and cooking took more time while gardening had the least time.
As mentioned earlier, women did more of the activities in the home with cooking having the highest number of 15 hours a week while the men spent just 8 hours a week. 20 hours was spent on a average on cleaning in a week and the women did the larger percentage. The males spent 4 hours doing laundry compared to the ladies that spent 10 hours which was more than double of the time spent by the men. Gardening took the least time with just 10 hours during the week, the females spent 3 hours while the men spent 7 hours.
