The bar chart delineates the total number of minutes (in millions) of telephone calls in Finland, divided into three categories – local landline, national and international landline, mobile, from 1995 – 2004.

Overall, it is evident that local landlines dominated till 2001 but from there onwards displayed a decrease. Meanwhile, mobile phone users presented a dramatic increase throughout the period. Similarly, national and international landlines showed uniform growth over the years.

In more detail, the talk time via local landlines commenced from 12,000 million minutes in 1995. Furthermore, illustrating a small rise and peaking in 2001 with 17,000 million minutes and culminating at 12,000 million minutes. However, the figures for mobile phones initiated from around 0 minutes in 1995 and exhibited a stable increase till 2000 and after that it experienced a drastic increase and exited at approximately 10,000 million minutes in 2004. In the same vein, national and international landlines started from 6000 million minutes in 1995 and ended at close to 10,000 million minutes in 2004.
