  1. Sona Saigal says:

In recent years, the technology has become more advanced. It is estimated that cars, buses, and trucks will be driverless in upcoming years. While this trend offers certain advantages, it also brings notable drawbacks that should not be ignored. I strongly believe that its disadvantages are more significant than its advantages.

One of the major drawbacks of this trend is the trust issue. If vehicles will run only by machines, it will be very risky because machines can have some technical issues, and for a long journey, it is not reliable. It can lead to passengers’ lives being in danger. Moreover, it will create unemployment; many drivers will be jobless, and it will have adverse effects on the economy of a country. In addition, the price of vehicles can be increased due to advancement in technology. Furthermore, public transportation can be expensive, and it can lose public interest, which will lead them to use private vehicles rather than using public transport.

On the other hand, this trend can be beneficial for short journeys as it will be navigated through technology; the journey will be faster and easier. This trend is suitable for countries with small populations. For instance, in many developed countries, some vehicles run automatically, which is helpful, especially for those people who are handicapped or not physically capable of driving.

In conclusion, while this trend has certain benefits, I strongly believe that it has some significant drawbacks in terms of risks and unemployment. These types of vehicles should be used under the supervision of drivers to eliminate the risks; hence, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. 7 band

There is a forecast that all vehicles, such as cars, buses, and trucks, will be autopilot in the future. Thus, passengers could travel alone without any driver. From what I am concerned, the positive impacts outweigh the negative impacts, and this essay will discuss both views.

On the one hand, one major downside of driverless vehicles is their expense. It is undoubtedly true that cutting-edge technologies, such as Tesla, which is autopilot, are high-priced. This is because manufacturers do a lot of trials and advancements on those cars before selling them. The more advanced the technology is, the more money people should pay for it. As a result, if there is a mass production of this innovative thing, then it would cost a lot. Moreover, the other drawback is that some people will lose their jobs. Certain jobs, such as driver, will be replaced by machines. Consequently, more and more people will become jobless in the next few years because of this innovation. Imagine that if there are a thousand buses, then the same number of bus drivers will be unemployed.

On the other hand, the opportunities of using this automobile are that it is safer and more eco-friendly. In the majority of cases, driverless cars or trucks are made with more secure systems. Therefore, it will be safe for passengers, especially children and elderly people, to travel alone. Besides that, the reason why it is safe is that it can reduce road accidents and crimes. Because of its high-tech, driverless vehicles can minimize human errors and also secure passengers from reckless drivers. In addition, generally speaking, self-driving cars are eco-friendly. Vehicle producers are considerate about everything, including how the cars or trucks can play an important role in controlling global warming. That’s why they make battery cars to reduce the consumption of fuels or gasoline. In the long run, it will be beneficial both for humans and nature.

To sum up, there will be more self-driving vehicles in the next few years. Even though there are some downsides, I firmly believe that the benefits are greater than the drawbacks.

In the coming years, all types of vehicles will need no driver because of modern technology, and the only individuals inside these transporting machines will be travellers. I firmly agree that the advantages of driverless cars outweigh the disadvantages.

To begin with, these automated vehicles have many benefits for individuals, as they will change their lifestyles. For instance, they can be used by someone who is underage and is not allowed to drive by themselves. Moreover, it can be very helpful for disabled and older people; by just giving a command to these autopilot cars, they will go to the place wherever they want. These self-driving motors also play a role in saving time, as they choose a less busy road to avoid traffic and save time.

On the other hand, there are also some cons of using driverless transportation, such as it will replace the jobs of drivers, and it may cause accidents. For example, in Dubai, many taxi companies have removed taxi drivers from employment and introduced new automated cars for passengers. Furthermore, it may violate traffic rules, which can lead to huge crashes. As a result, visitors would not trust cars and buses that do not have a driver in them.

However, some people believe that its negative aspects outweigh the positives, saying that the accident ratio will be increased, which can destroy a country’s economy. So they think that they still have to travel by cars or trains with drivers in them.

To sum up, in the future, people would love to travel by automobile vehicles, as they have many technological facilities for passengers.

  4. Yeşim Ege says:

In the future, all transportation systems, especially cars, buses, and trucks, will be driverless. The only people inside these autopilot systems will be passengers.

From my perspective, the advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages, and this essay will examine the advantages and disadvantages of automatic vehicles.

Firstly, one advantage of auto systems is saving time because these cars are searching to which way has less traffic and start driving on the selected way. Moreover, driverless transportation is safer compared to other normal transports. The second advantage is that auto cars have their own lane-following programs, so they may prevent traffic accidents. For instance, today many cars have their own mods. Some of them have lane-following, cameras, auto speed controllers, and many technologies. Furthermore, passengers are just sitting in their seats, and the car starts to drive. Also, if some people start to walk in highway, then the car detects them with its system and starts to change lanes carefully, so it prevents big accidents.

Secondly, auto cars or trucks may hacked by other people. Additionally, these people may lock the car when you are in the car. The second disadvantage is that these systems is accustom to people lazy life because we have all auto technologies both at home and in the car, so we cannot be supposed to do hard things. It is going to be hazardous for our physical health. We don’t try to focus in way because of auto cars.

In conclusion, except for body health, driverless cars and buses have more advantages for our life. This essay has shown both sides of the autopilot system and my perspective. [Band 6.5]

  5. RIMSHA SAJJAD says:

In the near future,it is predicted that all vehicles such as cars, buses and trucks will be fully autonomous, with no human drivers inside.Only passengers will travel in these vehicles.some people belive that driverless vehicles are good for travelling and others argue to this perspective. In my opinion ,the advantages of driverless vechicles do outweigh the disadvantages but only if proper safety and ethical measures are in place.

One of the major benefits of this technology is improved road safety.Since more accidents caused by human errors such as speeding or distraction while removing drivers could reduce crash rates significantly.Driverless vehicles are designed to follow traffic rules and react faster than humans. Also they can help to reduce the traffic congestion by communicating each others.According to recent report,40% driverless cars use in major cities of China. The report showed a 30% reduction in road accidents and 20% improvement in overall traffic flow compared to previous years.

However, there are potential drawbacks. One concern is the risk of technical faliure or hacking which could serious accidents and not all the regions may have the infrastructure and internect connectivity required to support such vehicles Another issue is job loss of millions of drivers which could effect the economy and increase unemployment rate.

In conclusion, driverless vechicles has advancement of modren technology.I believe that this technological cars offers numerous benefits in term of safety, convenience and efficency. With proper planning, technology and regulations the advantages can outweigh the disadvantages. Therefore I would recomend to higher authorities if they government invest in advanced infrastructure and manage to strict regulations to support the safe use of driverless vehicles.

  6. Gultaj Alizade says:

Many people believe that, in the near future, there will be a new era of vehicles—taxis, buses, and trucks—without drivers. In this scenario, there will be only passengers inside. I believe that the drawbacks of this trend outweigh the advantages.

The foremost downside of this trend might be a decline in employment opportunities and an increase in the number of accidents in the future. Furthermore, it is obvious that one of the most common job types among people is being a driver; thus, it is a very popular option for students who recently move to another city or country, working as a delivery driver or taxi driver in different companies, such as Uber Eats, Bolt Taxi, or Yandex Delivery. Meanwhile, the possibility of driverless cars means that more than 10% of the job industry will be affected, and people will face job and income loss. On the other hand, machines or cars controlled by artificial intelligence are not yet 100% safe and trustworthy; nonetheless, there is a possibility of accidents. According to the New York Times, in 2023, one driverless taxi lost control on duty and started to go in the wrong direction while a passenger was inside. However, this kind of media news spreads an untrustworthy image of driverless cars in society, and people think they are losing control of their lives to AI.

There are certain advantages to being only a passenger inside the car instead of being the driver. Although it is true that, in third-world countries such as Russia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan, driving has become the most difficult and stressful thing and will become more so year by year. The World Psychologist Association announced that more than 5% of heart attacks and stress-related diseases begin with driving. Nevertheless, these kinds of innovations might reduce the level of daily stress and anxiety in people and save them time and energy that they regularly spend on their way.

To sum up, in my opinion, although there are some pros to having driverless transportation in the future, the drawbacks clearly outweigh them in terms of employability and trustworthiness.

  7. Cecilia Krauss says:

Driverless vehicles, such as cars, buses, and trucks, are predicted to be the future norm. At that time, passengers will be the only living beings inside those vehicles. This novelty can bring a number of positive effects, which I believe outweigh its drawbacks.

Many advocate against this development, arguing that it will extinguish a large number of jobs related to driving, such as Uber, taxi, bus, and truck drivers. This could adversely affect the livelihoods of these individuals, who reflect a significant proportion of the world’s population. However, preventive measures can mitigate this potential issue. For example, the integration of part of this workforce into the factory workforce should be incentivized, including those willing to educate themselves through specific courses that should be publicly funded to prevent an unemployment crisis.

Conversely, others (myself included) take the alternative stance that, with adequate precautions, this can be a beneficial new reality. This is due to the fact that studies have demonstrated a notably lower number of traffic accidents involving self-driving cars than those involving traditional ones. Moreover, road safety is a critical issue to almost every nation. In fact, deaths and physical disabilities caused by traffic accidents are largely prevalent and pose as their main source among young individuals. Consequently, solving it is an utter priority for government efforts.

In conclusion, considerably diminishing vehicle-related accidental deaths and physical disabilities has paramount importance in prevention efforts worldwide. For that reason, AI-driven vehicles have more benefits than drawbacks, considering that the main drawback (possible unemployment crisis) can be avoided by private and public measures that can be adopted preventively.
