The given table demonstrates five different mobile brands and their sale statics over a period from 2006 to 2012.
It is clear that with the exception of last year, Nokia has sold the greatest number of mobile phones among these five brands; while the smallest figures belonged to Apple. At the end, Samsung changed its position and turned out to the most popular company.
From 2006 to 2011, the majority of the sold mobile phones in the world were for Nokia, with the maximum record of 475 million devices in 2008, just over double the number of the second best-seller brand -Samsung-, with 202 sold mobiles in the same year. Apple had the lowest sales in this period, with just 12 sales in 2008, while Ericson and Motorola’s number of sold phones are almost the same, with 95 and 108 figures.
According to the year 2012, the pattern has changed significantly. In this year, Samsung overtook Nokia with 396.5 million sales and became the first best-seller brand in the world. Also, Apple’s numbers increased dramatically and reached almost 136 million sales. On the contrary, Nokia, Ericson, and Motorola saw a drop in their sale patterns, with 335, 28, and 28 numbers, respectively.
