The line graph demonstrates information about energy use by fuel in Australia from 1980 until now, and also gives some expectations until 2030.
Firstly, it can be noted that there are 5 different sources of energy consumption: oil, coal, natural gas, nuclear and solar. Overall, it can be seen that there is an upward trend for each energy resource. The most used source for energy production is oil fuel. In 1980 its indexes showed the mark of almost 40 million units. However, in 1990 it reached its lowest point of 30 million units. After that, there is a stable growth with minimal changes.
Taking into account coal and natural gas, it can be observed that their indicators are almost the same. There are no significant decreases or increases, only sustained growth from less than 20 million units (coal) to more than 30 million units, and from 20 million units (natural gas) to nearly 30 million units.
The lowest indicators are and will be for nuclear and solar energy. Since 1980 to 2030 there has been slight growth, but not even reaching the point of 10 million units.
In conclusion, it can be noted that in Australia a frequently used resource for energy is oil energy, and least used are nuclear and solar energy.
