The presented graphs illustrate how much money an average family earned and allocated for necessities in a city in the UK.
Overall, while there was an increase in the expenditure on food and clothes, the family’s income witnessed a sharp decline. In addition, spending on different categories of food and clothes experienced certain changes throughout the timeline.
In terms of the income table, starting at 29000 in 2010, money earned by this family decreased significantly to 25000 just 3 years later. However, the gross money allotted for food and clothes went upward from 14000 to 15000 in 2013.
As for the pie chart, about 26% of their budget was spent on fruit and vegetables, with a subsequent growth to 30% in 2013. A similar change can also be seen in the figure for dairy products, which rose by 4% from 2010 (12%). Moreover, while both expenditures on clothes, meat and fish dropped to 13% and 23% respectively, the figure for other food remained stable.
