The given pie charts illustrate the proportion of six Swiss watch brands in 2020 and 2021
It is clear that the largest segment of both pie charts was Rolex. While the share of Rolex increased, the proportion of other 5 brands slightly decreased.
As it can be seen in the chart, Rolex accounted for 39.6% of total share, Patek had less than a fifth (15.6%) and the proportion of Cartier was 14.5%. However, while Rolex’s share increased to half, Patek saw a clear drop to 12.7%. From the graph, Cartier replaced Patek as the second biggest watch brand (13.8) in 2021.
The remaining three watch brands accounted for around one tenth of total share each, but all of them decreased by 1% in 2021. As it can be seen, Omega fell the most in 2021, dropped by 1,5% from 10.3 to 8.8%. Omega went from the fourth largest share in 2020 to the lowest in 2021.
