Overall, different countries use various methods to manage dangerous waste products. In South Korea, high proportion of waste is recycled. Whereas, Sweden and the United Kingdom mainly focuses on undergrounding the waste.
In South Korea, 69% of waste are recycled, whereas, 22% of waste are disposed underground and only 9% of waste are incinerated. This assumes South Korea highly prioritizes on recycling the waste. However, for Sweden, it is very much dissimilar. 55% of waste in Sweden are disposed underground, but, 25% of harmful waste are recycled and only 20% of waste is incinerated with fire.
On the other hand, for the United Kingdom, they use four different ways to deal with waste. The UK mainly focuses on underground disposal as 825 of dangerous waste are disposed underground. However, only 2% of waste are incinerated with and remaining 16% of waste are either chemicaly treated or dumped at sea.
