The pie chart shows meal budget distribution on restaurant meals, while graph chart depicts the comparison between meals taken in fast food and sit-down restaurants.
It is evident from the given charts that budget on restaurant meals increased in comparison to home cooked meals from 1970 to 2000. There is also statistical evidence that number of fast food meals per year increased more as compared to meals at sitdown restaurants.
To begin with, the proportion of budget allocated for home cooked meals is decreased to half of the meal budget in 2000, although it used to be 90% 4 decades ago. It’s clearly depicted from pie chart that people’s preference for restaurant meals increased, more towards fast food meals as compared to sitdown restaurant meals as in year 2000, as fast food meal preference is exponentially increased to 90 meals per year, although sitdown restaurants were preferred in first decade then its shows gradual increase to 50 meals per year.
Although, in year 1970 a very small percentage of budget was used to be allocated to restaurant meals, which being spent equally on both type of meals: fast food and sitdown restaurant.
