The given graph presents the percentage of radio and tv users, who were over 4-years old, throughout the day from October to December 1992.
Overall, the highest amount of people, who prefer to watch TV, was in the evening, while the number of radio listeners hit the peak in the morning. Over the whole day, the total percentage of television audience was greater than radio ones.
The number of TV audience started at approximately 7 percent at 1 am. It fluctuated between just over 3 and 7 percent through the period from 2 am to 10 am, but afterwards this figure witnessed a significant soar from 11 am to 1 pm, reaching around 15 percent. There was a small decline at 2 pm, but in the next 4 hours the percentage of TV users dramatically increased and hit the highest point at approximately 45 percent at 8 pm. In the end of the day there was a sharp decline at around 15 percent.
Meanwhile, the proportion of radio listeners was a little less than 4 percent at 1 am. It maintained relatively stable over the next 5 hours, but then it experienced its largest increase at 6 am, surpassing the amount of television audience at the same time, to reach its peak of just over 25 percent at 8 am.
It gradually declined over the period from 9 am to 3 pm with a small recover at 5 pm. The proportion oscillated between 4 and 8 percent for the remainder of given period.
