The figure displays the amount of school children learning to play different kinds of musical instruments such as guitar, piano, drum and violin during a decade between 2005 and 2015. Overall, the guitar had been the instrument with the highest participation every five years and the piano had been following to this trend.
In 2005, the playing guitar showed about 10 percent and the piano showed a result almost similar to it. At the same time, the drum had a 5 percent participation rate. The violin exhibited a value of around 7.
During the next 5 years, guitar and piano experienced a sharp increase in the percentage of school children learning to play instruments. Meanwhile, in 2010, drum and violin saw a remained constant.
In 2015, the instruments that have increased in the past years continued to show an increase. On the other hand, the drum showed a small increase and the violin showed a slight decrease.
