Band 6+: Your neighbor's dog often barks loudly at night, disturbing your sleep and that of others in your building. Write a letter to your neighbor. - Explain the problem you are experiencing. - Describe how the noise is affecting you and your neighbors. - Suggest a possible solution to resolve the issue.

Dear Mrs. Ken

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to let you know about how dissatisfied I am with the incessant noise displayed by your dog which disrupts not only my peace but that of the house too.

I am always found of dogs and I don’t neglect the fact that Teddy, your dog works as our nightwatch but he has being a hindrance to my sleep recently. I usually find it hard to sleep at nights especially after stressful days from work and house chores . However, those are the times that Teddy tends to bark the loudest at my window.

This situation does not only affect me mentally but hinders my ability to concentrate and have good mornings due to lack of sleep. While other neighbors also reach out to me to talk on their behalf as the caretaker of this building, they mentioned several occasions where they had to tend to their baby at night due to the noise waking them up.

I will suggest you put him in a mouth guard to reduce the volume of the barks but still helping to detect danger at night if there is any.

Thanks and I hope you look into it.

Yours sincerely

Mmasichukwu
