The diagram includes three pie charts that illustrate how different countries deal with dangerous waste. The countries that are provided in the statistics are the United Kingdom, Sweden, and the Republic of Korea.
Regarding relations between all three of them, they have two common methods of waste disposal, being underground and incineration. Underground is the most used method among two of the countries, with it being used 82% of the time in the UK and 55% of the time in Sweden, but only 22% for the Republic of Korea. For incineration, it is at 20% for Sweden, 9% for the Republic of Korea, and a low number of 2% for the UK.
Between Sweden and Korea, they share another common method and that is recycling. Now this method is Korea’s most used with it being at 69%, but for Sweden it’s only at 25%, which is a significant difference considering they use the same three methods. The United Kingdom however, does not use recycling and instead they opped for chemical treatment, which is at 8%, and dumping at sea, which is at 5%.
Overall, the diagram manages to show how the three countries decide to dispose their dangerous waste clearly, highlighting the similarities and differences between them.
