Overall,almost every mode of travel has increased its average distance, except walking, bicycle and local bus. Cars have the highest average distance travelled per person per year, whereas the lowest is taxi.
In 2001, cars began at 3199 miles while travelers using trains or walking had nearly 250 miles. Besides, the average distance of bicyclists and local distance buses was 51 miles and 54 miles .
On the other hand, the distance traveled by car increased by 1607 miles and the average usual distance of train increased by 127 miles in 2006, while those walking decreased their average distance by 18 miles. In addition, bicyclists decreased their average distance to 41 miles in 2006. However, people who traveled in local distance buses increased their average distance length to 124 miles.
