in the diagram we can see proportion from each household type living in proverty.All we have 100% that 15% are couple without children 24% are single without children 26% are sole parents.I count only big 3 lets say.Overall, single parents and single people made up the largest groups living in poverty, while the elderly had the lowest proportion.
Single parents accounted for the highest percentage at 26%, followed by single people with 24%. Couples with children were also affected, making up 15% of poor households. Meanwhile, couples without children and single elderly people represented 9% and 7%, respectively. The lowest figure was for elderly couples, at only 5%.
In summary, poverty in the UK in 2002 was most common among single-parent families, while older couples were the least likely to live in poverty.
