I would like to talk about the book, Men Are from Mars and Women Are from Venus. This book discusses the different characteristics between men and women, how masculine and feminine traits differ, and how we should respect and understand these differences. It gave me a new perspective to look at it in a way that does not see men and women as indifferent. Before reading this book, I was dubious and nonchalant about understanding both genders and how society works for them. This book provided me with clarity and certainty to view both genders more as characteristics rather than just seeing them as male and female sexes. Firstly, I believe that men and women are more complementary to each other than competitive, as society currently encourages us to be. Secondly, I think we have very different physical and emotional needs, which need to be recognized more by individuals and people like me to change our perspective on it. I was able to navigate this idea better after reading this book because it made me believe that we should view the differences among people, genders, and men and women in general with more compassion and empathy, rather than misunderstanding the beautiful balance that nature has created for both when they come together.
