The diagram illustrates information about the proportion of three age groups of Australian children participating in four activities in 2012.
Overall, watching television was most popular activity for all age ranges, whereas reading and art were the least favorite.
To begin with, all age categories loved watching television the most, representing over 90 percent each. This was followed by riding the bike, as about 80 percent of children aged between (5 and 8) and (12 and 16) enjoyed this activity. However, those aged between 9 and 11 were not that interested in riding the bike compared with other two age groups.
A same proportion of reading can be witnessed in the 9 to 11 years and 12 to 16 years old children, accounting for 70 percent. Lastly, art was the least popular activity among all children. About 60 percent of children aged between 5 and 8 participated that activity, which was followed by the 9 to 11 and 12 to 16 age groups, contributing 55 percent and 48 percent, respectively.
