The pie charts represent information about the types of fuel sources used for electricity in two different countries in 1980 and 2000.
In Australia, in 1980, most units of electricity were produced by coal; there were 50 of the total. Hydro Power and Natural Gas had the same number; both of them were at 20. The smallest figure of units were attributed to oil. The situation after 20 years was completely different. In 2000, the units from coal were expanded; the number turned to 130. Hydro Power’s part of the graphic was also increased to 36. Natural Gas was decreased to the number of 2; the same happened to the oil.
In France, in 1980, the situation noticeably differed. We can see that the numbers for coal and natural gas were the same (25 units). Oil was in second place; there were 20 units. Nuclear Power had 15 elements, meanwhile Hydro Power had only 5. In 2000, Nuclear Power increased to 126 units and became the biggest part of the chart. The numbers for Oil and Coal became the same, at 25. Hydro Power and Natural Gas decreased to the number of 2.
