The given graphs provide information regarding the sources of crude oil in 2012 and the amount of its product that was brought into the US from abroad in-between the period of 7 years starting at 2005.
Overall, it can be observed that US had the largest crude oil exploitation around the globe. Meanwhile, its oil import was reported to be in a downward trend.
To begin with, it was Africa that had the lowest amount of oil in terms of single countries in the graph( about 8% ). The rest from the board all had numbers reaching double digits. The most significant nation was certainly US, who contributed to a whopping 36%, followed by Canada, then Middle East and Latin America with 25%, 18% and 10% respectively. For other countries around the world, their total amount o crude oil was only 3%, relatively smaller then the representatives from the graph.
Moving onto the bar chart, it was seen that US’s national oil input was 14 million of barrels per day in 2005 and it was also the highest in the time period. The figure witnessed noticeable decline in the first 2 years then slowed down until 2009 at 12 million mark at that point. Later on, the number once again declined moderately and steadily till 2012, ending at over 8 million barrels per day, shwoing an overall declining trend.
