The given line graph illustrates the different kind of transport system usage by people namely, Car, Bicycle, Bus, and by walking in a city from 2000 to 2020.
Overall, it can be seen that car accounted highest share over the period except in final year. While walking reported least in all four form of transport. The proportion of using bicycle significantly increase in final year and overtake car transport shares.
In 2000, car usage accounted for the highest percentage of usage, at 45%, while bicycle had second largest proportion of usage, at 25%. The percentage of car usage significantly declined approximately 35% in next 10 years, in contrast, usage of bicycle increased 30% in 2005 and then dropped significantly, at 24% in a decade. After that rosed sharply and overtake car usage shares, reached 35% in final year, whereas car decline in those years, at 30%.
In terms of bus and walking, in starting year usage of bus at 20% and then it increased rapidly or overtaking bicycle shares, at 30% in 2015. However, it decline again to 22% in 2020. The transport by walk remaining lowest over the period. In the first year, at 10%, then increased slightly to 12%, which remained stable in 2010. But that reached to 13% in final year.
