The chart shows how much time men and women spend on leisure and housework activities. Men predominantly spend more time on the former than women and less on the latter.
Men are reported to spend time watching TV, video, and listening to radio around 137 minutes per day. Women generally spend 19 minutes less on these activities. They read books around the same amount: men—18 minutes, women—19 minutes. Men exercise 15 minutes a day and women 11.
Housework activities paint a different picture. Women spend around 75 minutes every day on cooking and washing, while men spend only 30. Men also wash clothing and iron 5 times less than women each day—10 and 25 minutes respectively. However, men are busy almost twenty minutes with repair, while women spend on it 2 times less. Additionally, women shop a little more than men, with about 35 and 25 minutes respectively.
In conclusion, we can say that men spend around 84 minutes on housework activities and double that on leisure (170 minutes), while women do housework around 150 minutes and rest almost the same (148 minutes).
