Overall, there was an increase in the total number of people visiting the museum. In addition, Adult visitors and Special Exhibition visitors witnessed a growth; meanwhile, the number of Visitors aged under 15 observed a contrasting pattern from 1997 onwards. Regarding the prominent feature, the number of adults visiting the museum started at 300,100, after which it experienced a sharp rise to 400,500 10 years later, before ending the period at 380,000 in the final year. 28,000 special exhibition people visited the museum, with a subsequent increase to 37,700 in 2007 and continuing to grow to 42,000 onwards.
Concerning the remaining data, the opposite change can be seen in the figure for teenagers visiting the museum, which stood at 120,000 in 1997 and experienced a gradual decline to 42,000 over the timescale.
