At this Diwali, my uncle makes handmade dias and candles at home and also my uncle makes paper toys like paper boards, aeroplanes and so on. For my uncle, making things by hand is a passion. It’s how he expresses his creativity and takes a break from daily life. He loves seeing his projects finished. He often says, idle hands are the devil’s workshop, meaning it’s important to stay busy and productive. I hold my uncle in high regard. His dedication to his craft is inspiring and his ability to create something out of nothing is truly a gift. Every time I visit him, I am like a kid in the candy store, excited to see on what new projects he’s working on. His talent not only brings joy to our family but also teaches us the value of hard work and creativity. He is truly a diamond in the rough.
