In general, the chocolate consumption in Switzerland was the highest in both years, while the reverse is true for the Philippines. Even though the sweet take was increased in Russia and Colombia, it remained stable in Australia.
Looking at the chart in more detail, while the figure of chocolate intake was slightly decreased from roughly 9,5 to 8 kg in Switzerland, it remained the highest point. Compared to Switzerland, the Philippines showed 2,5 kg before gradually increasing to 3,5 kg in 2021, which is the lowest percentage compared to others. Whereas, the figures of Australia remained equal in both years, which is 8 kg per person.
In addition, as chocolate consumption figures pertaining to Russia show the substantial increase from 3,5 kg in 2001 to 5,5 kg in 2021, the Colombia showed 5,5 kg in 2001 and ended up with an increase of roughly 6,5 kg on the average person.
