The line graph supplied details changes in the overall percentage of UK household which did access to insecurity food and those experience very low food security from 2000 to 2020.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that both experienced an upward trend during the period of 20 years. Food insecurity saw the highest point of approximately 18.5 in 2012, while low food security reached its highest point at 6 in 2008.
Low food security saw a rapid increase from 2 percent in 2004 to 6 percent in 2008. There was a sharp increase by approximately 1.5 percent during the period of 2 years from 2008 to 2010.
Food insecurity rocked by 8 percent between 2008 and 2010.There was also a steady drop over the following 8 years from a high of approximately 18.5 percent to 12 percent. Throughout the period from 2006 to 2008, Food insecurity levelled off at 10 percent.
