In 1985, the airport had one run way running trom north to south on the western side. The internatiol and domestic terminals were located in the south-west; near a park and air port support services. To the east of the airport, there were severel factories, and Johnson’s Fann located the northern part of the area. The city of the Tildon was situated 8 kilometers to the south-east.
By 2015, several changes had taken place. A second runway was built in the north-eust, signiticatly expanding the airport’s capacity. The factories in the south-east weve vemoved and replaced by a business pare in the north and a housing estate in the east. Johnson’s Farm dissapeared, making space for these new developments. Additically, a bus and light rail station was introduced in the south-west. vt hotel and conference centre were also built in the south, near the airport support sevvices.
