Traveling to remote natural places like The South Pole was not an easy trip before, however now it is possible for people like tourists and scientists to go there. This essay will show how travelling to rural areas can help with science research and it will also demonstrate how the influx of tourists could harm the ecosystem of those areas.
On the one hand, having more access to remote areas would make it easier to discover these places and study their environment which could help addressing environmental issues such as global warming. Morover, going to the South Pole for instance, would allow scientists to study the wildlife there closely. For example, many new discoveries in the Nourth Pole were made only after living there for years conducting research and observing the life there.
On the other hand, natural places might get spoilt by having a lot of tourists, which could lead to serious problems such as polution. Furthermore, polluting the area would harm the natural habitat of the animals living there and thus harm them. For instance many animals were endangered because of a human-caused pollution.
To conclude, Although there are many drawbacks for having humans in unspoilt-rural places like the South Pole , I think it is necessary for education purposes and perhaps it will help find solutions for global warming and biodiversity loss.
