I went to the park with my friend the other day. She was a good friend from high school, and we hadn't seen each other in almost a year. Since we were both on our semester break, we wanted to meet up and catch up. We actually planned to meet at the park and then decide where to go for dinner later, but my friend was a bit late, so we ended up staying there. We got takeout milk tea and kebabs from a small street vendor, found a comfortable corner, and enjoyed them. We spent the afternoon watching people pass by and talking about random things that came up. The weather was really nice. It had been raining all week, so we were worried we might have to go home early, but it turned out to be a fine evening. I guess that made the day special, despite having to wait for my friend and not going anywhere. I also liked the original plan. We still had a lot more fun than I expected. We updated each other on what was going on in our lives and discussed our plans for the future. It was a nice feeling to know that even though we couldn't meet and talk frequently, we still had a great time together. Milk tea and kebabs made it even better.
