One foreign food that I vividly remember trying for the first time was Japanese ramen, a popular noodle soup dish that has become popular all over the world. I had the chance to eat it about two months ago at a restaurant in Lahore located in the Gulberg area. The restaurant was called the Fuji Ramen House, and it had a very calm and traditional Japanese interior with wooden decor and soft music, which made the experience feel a bit special. I had gone there with one of my friends because we wanted to eat something different from our usual Pakistani dishes. That was the reason I chose to eat ramen; I had seen it in many Korean and Japanese dramas. When people tried it in cold weather, I was really curious about its taste. Also, the weather was a bit cold that day, so I felt like eating something warm and comforting. The moment it arrived, I was honestly impressed by the presentation. It came in a large bowl with hot and aromatic broth, short noodles, tender slices of chicken, and a mix of vegetables like corn, cabbage, and green onions. The steam rising from the bowl made it look extremely comforting. I enjoyed this food for several reasons. Firstly, the broth was extremely rich and flavorful. The noodles were soft and perfectly cooked. When I took the first bite, I realized why people hype it so much. I also liked how light it felt compared to oily desi food. Overall, it made me want to explore more international cuisines. The entire experience felt exciting and new. It wasn't just food; it was complete.
