So last holiday, my friends and I planned to go to Barcelona, which is a coastal city in my country, and we decided to have our holiday there. We were going by car; normally, it's a 12-hour drive, but it took us more than 20 hours. The reason it took so long was due to the current situation in my country and the ongoing war. There were a lot of checkpoints, and we had to stop many times. We were stopped frequently by the soldiers and checked many times. Although it was very tiring and a long journey, we enjoyed it a lot because we were chatting, singing, and talking about our plans for when we got there. It had actually been a long time since we last met, so it was a good opportunity to catch up with each other and share what was going on in our lives. Overall, it was a really memorable journey.
