I would like to participate in an annual drawing competition organized by my university every year. Although I wasn't really into art for most of my life, during the COVID-19 lockdowns, I discovered that it was a great way to pass the time. Recently, I showed some of my friends my landscape paintings, and they were over the moon about them. Their encouragement was a confidence booster for me, and they suggested I enter a competition. I anticipate that this contest will be quite challenging, with many talented artists, but I feel confident that I have developed my skills enough to give it a shot. The main reason I want to join this contest is that my love for drawing has grown immensely. I believe that it would be enjoyable to participate and provide me with a new and exciting challenge that I think I'm now ready for.
