One place in India where I would love to learn about the culture is Amritsar, which is located in the northern state of Punjab. Amritsar is also known as the cultural center of the Sikh religion. There is a Golden Temple, also known as Harmandar Sahib, where thousands of people worship, no matter from which religion or background they belong. It is not only beautiful, with its marble architecture, but also a powerful symbol of community and equality. One of the most cultural experiences I had was in the Langar in Amritsar, where thousands of people share a meal by sitting in a single row, regardless of their religion or background. People do seva. The Langar is also known as a community service kitchen. Amritsar has a rich culture related to the Sikh religion, including Jallianwala Bagh, which commemorates the old freedom fighters.
