I consider myself a person who overestimates myself on a daily basis, and that's the reason why I take on so many tasks that I cannot finish. In the same way, I applied for a job and got a remote position related to writing articles for an outlet, but I had to quit it as soon as I got it because I didn't have enough time to prepare. At that point in my life, I had to move abroad and start living in Spain, which involved learning a new language and enhancing my abilities to speak it, as well as communicating and settling down while starting a new internship in that country. At the same time, I was preparing for other exams and studying, and I began my lessons in another language, which significantly reduced my available time. As much as I don't want to admit it, I also started encountering new friendships, and I really wanted to go out and build a social life in this new place. I think that's a very normal desire for a young person, but this didn't leave me enough time to prepare the articles I needed to write or to do proper research, so I had to quit. As expected, the negative consequence was the lack of money that followed that decision, and the lack of money impacted my way of living. I had to reduce my shopping list and compromise on the food I was buying. Sometimes, I had to avoid social interactions because I simply couldn't afford them. The reasons why I had to quit the job became the consequences of that action. The whole experience taught me that sometimes you need to sacrifice certain habits in your life and make small compromises to gain something more. You need to find adequate time for everything and not overestimate yourself, because obviously, you are not a robot, and a person requires rest.
