India is a diverse country with different traditions and cultures in various states. There are many festivals celebrated, such as Diwali, Navratri, Ganesh Chaturthi, and Dussehra. Today, I'd like to talk about Navratri, a festival celebrated in the month of October. During Navratri, people play Garba for ten days. They also observe a fast, during which they only eat fruits and vegetables. Some people indulge in traditional delicacies like sabudana dishes. Women wear traditional clothes like chaniya cholis and adorn themselves with jewelry. Men wear kurtas with intricate embroidery. In villages, the festival is celebrated in a more traditional way. In cities, large organizations arrange Garba events on grand platforms, attracting many people. Singers also perform at these events. Navratri is a festival where people worship the goddess Durga and show their devotion to her. On the tenth day, an effigy of Ravana is burnt, symbolizing the destruction of evil.
