I have watched numerous movies, however only few have left a lasting impression on me. One of these films which hold a special place in my heart is The Walleye of the Wolves. The Walleye of the Wolves is a popular Turkish series that was originally aired in 2003. This movie is now for its intense action, deep exploration of the Turkish society and geopolitics. The main character of the movie is Polat Alemdar, portrayed by films actor Nezat D. Şaşmaz. Actually Polat starts an undercover agent who works for the Turkish National Intelligence Organization, but after receiving an order from his superior, he undergoes facial surgery and enters the Walleye of the Mafia. His mission is to eliminate the mafia from Turkey. I believe that Polat Alemdar is man of his words because throughout his dangerous journey, he faces a lot of struggles and losses and he even loses his parents, friends and wife, but he never gives up, he remains loyal to his mission and his nation. In the end of the movie, he successfully completes his task which destroys the mafia from the Turkish society. I believe that Polat Alemdar is an example of someone who loves his nation and more than his family and friends. Actually I watched this movie in summer and it took me about 2 months to finish it. Also I always watched it with my friend as the storyline is quite complex. I mean if you cannot understand even one scene, you cannot get the real meaning of the plot. I want to watch this movie again because it taught me valuable lessons such as when others show disrespect and loving one’s nation. Therefore Walleye of the Mafia is the best movie I have ever seen.
