When I think of someone who speaks my native language, Hindi, exceptionally well, I immediately recall a friend of mine, a colleague of my boss. A few months ago, she invited me to her home for dinner. As I entered, a person caught my eye. It wasn't my boss or her friend, but someone else entirely. I felt a bit nervous at first, worried about a language barrier. I assumed, since he was from Canada, communication in Hindi might be difficult.
