Besides my existing job as a data analyst, there are a variety of different jobs I would like to experience if I have a chance. However, one of the few that I would not like to experience would be being a lawyer. Back in college, a friend of mine from high school decided to study law in college, and she has been practicing law for more than five years after graduation. When I had a chance to meet up with her, she shared a lot about the pros and cons, as well as the dark sides of being a lawyer, and I believe that being a lawyer is not for everyone. The reason I find it very difficult to do is due to two particular reasons. First of all, it requires meticulousness as one of the traits of being a lawyer because one needs to carefully look into the details of the case and match them with the reasons of the parties involved in a particular conflict. Second of all, it requires a wide range of knowledge related to law, such as international law, economic law, and so on. The reasons I would not like to experience this profession are that ultimately it requires a passion for law. Law is not just about being right or wrong; it's more about looking into the set of rules and regulations of a particular category to validate a case. Additionally, being a lawyer means that one needs to keep emotions out of the professional environment, and personally, I am an emotion-driven person.
