So I’m going to introduce you to the Atomium, the national monument of Belgium. It’s located in Brussels, in the north of Brussels, and it’s just five minutes away of my hometown’s maze. So that’s why I like this monument and why I’m going to describe it to you, because I saw it from the day I was born and it’s actually kind of an important monument to me because I have a lot of earth used in the near that are close to my heart that’s to place near the atomium. So the atomium is a huge metal structure representing an atomic bound between 9 atoms of, I think it’s iron atoms. So it’s quite tricky because people think, oh, it’s the atomic version of the iron because it’s atomium. in Atomium you have the word atom but it’s actually kind of misleading because it’s not an atom it’s actually a crystallized molecule of iron So that’s what I kind of like about the Atomium and one super cool thing about it is you can and explore each of the different atoms. So you can get into an elevator and you can then visit each of the nine spheres that each contain an activity. You have a bar, you also have a sensorial experience with lights and foam balls. So it’s quite fun and it’s an interesting thing to do because at the top you also have a beautiful view of the north of Brussels, which is a plot that is often ignored by most of the tourists because you don’t have a lot of museum or historical activities there except for the Atomium that you know now.
