One movie I watched recently and would like to watch again is 12 Angry Men. It's a classic courtroom drama and falls into the legal genre. Although this is just a black and white movie, it left me with a really strong impression. The film is about the discussion of 12 jurors regarding the murder case of a 9-year-old boy. The debate becomes tense when 11 people think the boy is guilty and believe there is no need to discuss it. However, there is one juror who thinks that it cannot be concluded. This person presents evidence to prove the boy is innocent, and this man succeeds in convincing the remaining 11 people to vote for the boy's innocence. The whole film takes place in the jury room, which increases the drama of the film. I watched this film at home when a friend of mine introduced it, and it truly lived up to my expectations as one of the best movies of all time. I really want to watch this film again because it created a simulation for the brain as well as tension in its development. Each time a juror changes his mind, you learn something new about human nature and prejudice. Even though it was made in 1957, it still feels very relevant today. Also, the performances are outstanding; every character is distinct, and the film manages to be incredibly self-sufficient despite the lack of action or special effects. It's a great example of how strong writing, acting, and direction can make a simple story compelling.
