And, um, one such person was Udam Singh. And today I’m going to talk about him. Well, Udam Singh, um, was one of the freedom fighters who helped India to get freedom from Britishers. Udam Singh’story has, um, become very interesting. When I, uh, learned from a book that during the year 1919, when every Indians were celebrating the, uh, Vaiagi festival. It is one of the harvesting festival of India. And most of the people have been, um, gathered with their families in a Jalan Vallab bhag. But sadly, during that day, um, General Dyer, who has opened the fire and thousands of innocent life has been lost. And, um, our hero, Udan Singh, was just ten years old at the time. And he has saw a bloodshed around him during that day. He, ah, has promised himself that one day he will take revenge from General Dyer for, uh, further his studies. He has moved to Lonon. And one day he heard that General Dyer is going to give a speech in the assembly. So after, uh, this, he has somehow arranged a pistol and he moved to the assembly and killed General Dyer. And he never tried to run away from that place. And he never bothered about that. Um, he is an epitome of bravery. And many of the Indians have considered himself, uh, him as a role model. And until now, we can see that people are considered him as a role model. And, uh, it’s a great personality. And he has made a great contribution for the, uh, indian independence. That’s the main reason I consider him as one of the legend of indian history.
