Um, when I was about 14, like, many teenagers, I was really competitive among my classmates, and I always wanted to be the first at everything And I heard that there was going to be a championship, chess championship in our school, and I uh, I decided to participate in the competition since I had some knowledge about chess. And I had really good chance to win, but I failed it, and I was really upset and disappointed uh, I totally lost my confidence after that failure. What’s more? I was so discouraged that I was even going to quit sports. And, uh, my father notes that I had this I had been skipping my lunch and dinners So he asked me what happened. So I had to tell him what was going on and had he sat me down and looked at me in the eye McKademy and I and said, um, that said that if Tom’s Edison had given up after his first and successful attempt, we would still have candles instead of electrical bump bulbs. He told me not to give up, no matter what happens, um, no matter what, and um, what happens and perceive failures is valuable life lessons rather than disastrous. And after, uh, well, after, um, this talk, the wonders, and I decided to make one, uh, more attempt to win the championship. And I succeeded because my father’s encouragement helped me to overcome my fear of failure and regain confidence. And I started working hard towards towards my goal without being afraid. Uh, what is important? What in what is important is now that now every time I feel to do something, On the first try, I recall my father’s words and start working even harder.
