Back in 2023, I was living in a boarding school for a month, and there I guess I managed to throw myself in with white people. So basically, there were four buddies I had, and one of them was Dasha, with whom I got along like house on fire. From the very first day, we decided to sign up for a knitting club, and it was actually a very funny experience because, on the one hand, there was Dasha, who had already been an ace at knitting, weaving, and all that stuff. It was right up her street, and on the other hand, there was me, a left-handed clumsy person who actually struggled very much. You should have seen it, absolutely. She would instruct me, and she was my mentor, my guide throughout the way. But at the end of the program, there was a sort of tradition that all the teenagers stuck to because we were getting back to our hometowns. In order to leave a memory of us behind, we would exchange farewell gifts. We were not exceptions, absolutely, but what she gave to me was very special and unique because it was a blue puppet with a red bow around its neck. For me, it was a sign of appreciation for my efforts and dedication, and when I received it, I was tickled pink because I was amused and pleased. But then the next day, I was sitting on the bus and felt really blue because this was the last material memory I was left with from her. Thank you.
