I had like to speak about my cousin who had chosen to pursue a career in medical field. He is my mother’s sister’s son and he is four years older than me. We shared many precious childhood memories together and often discuss our careers now that we are adults. After high school, he decided to study medicine. He worked hard throughout his graduation to pursue master in orthopedics. After seven years of rigorous education and training, he started his career as a doctor. Studying medicine in India wasn’t easy. During his post-graduation, he had to attend classes as well as work as an intern at the hospital in the evening. When I asked him why he chose a career that sometimes makes him so exhausted, he told me that he was motivated by his uncle who is an extreme chief physician and also help poor people free of cost for treatment. I am incredibly proud of his achievement and his dedication and sense of responsibility are truly inspiring. I have no doubt that he will excel in professional and personal life and make significant contribution to the medical field.
