A piece of art I'm a big fan of is the painting of the Mona Lisa. It is a painting by Leonardo da Vinci. It is an oil painting on a poplar wood panel. It was painted in the year 1503 and has been around for more than 500 years. I have never had a chance to see it personally, since it is kept in a museum in France. But in the future, I would love to see it. What I really like about the painting is the contemplative face of the lady in the picture. Some argue the face is melancholic, whereas some say the face is smiley. This ambiguity itself is a matter of wonder. I first heard about it from one of my friends who is living abroad. Whenever I hear about the Mona Lisa, it reminds me of my friend. I first got the chance to see a picture of the Mona Lisa on television, since it was everywhere on television.
