2 years ago, I made such a big decision to quit my permanent job and start my new career path as a freelancer, which was actually quite risky back then. But before I came to this decision, I asked for some advice from one of the most influential person in my life. She was my mother of course. At first I wasn’t brave enough to consult with her because I thought that I was already old enough and I was mature enough to make my own decision but I was so stressed and then I decided to ask her. My mom was very positive. Just sitting next to her made me feel like I would get some useful advice from her for sure. I talked to her at night before we go to bed and she finally told me something that I remember until now. The things that she said was, if you never try, then you will never know. And since I heard that sentence, I feel like, yes, I really need to give it a try. So after talking to my mom, I decided to quit my job right away and started my new path as a freelancer. It was hard at first as expected, but since that day until now, I have been working as a freelancer and I would say that there was no regret at all. I think I have made the right decision thanks to my mom’s encouragement. It was one of the best piece of advice that I have ever received in my lifetime.
