Recently, I gave a piece of advice to my classmate before her school competition. It was memorable for both of us because I told her to focus on her preparation step by step and to trust in her abilities. First of all, I noticed that she was preparing for a presentation and felt extremely nervous and stressed about speaking in front of a large audience. She was terrified of making mistakes and freezing up during her presentation. Therefore, I gave her the advice to take deep breaths before speaking, break her speech into smaller chunks, and remind herself that everyone in the audience wanted her to succeed. I also advised her to practice her speech in front of the mirror to boost her confidence. In addition to this, I encouraged her to think positively and stay calm instead of worrying too much. I told her that delivering a message with confidence is more important than speaking perfectly. To support her, I even acted as her audience, listening to her presentation several times and correcting some parts with her. As a result, she became much more confident and relaxed. On the day of the competition, she successfully gave her presentation and even won a certificate for her excellent performance.
