I'd like to describe our botanical garden, which is within walking distance from my house. It was opened approximately 10 years ago. Since that time, it has become one of the most popular places for locals. Visually, the garden is absolutely stunning. It is filled with winding pathways, towering ancient oak and birch trees, and a beautiful pond in the center. During the spring and summer, we can see blooming roses and tulips. There are also wooden benches and a small glass greenhouse that smells of rich soil and tropical flowers. People do different activities there, for instance, they jog, walk their dogs, or meet friends in the evening. Sometimes I bring a fictional book to read or put on some music. Most of the time, I just enjoy doing nothing, simply watching the ducks swimming in the pond and drinking a warm cup of coffee on the bench near the pond. The main reason I like it is that I can get away from stress and enjoy the atmosphere. It is much more peaceful than the noisy city center.
